WARRANTY INFORMATION
At Specialised Welding Systems (ABN: 64 625 901 725), we stand behind the quality and performance of our products and are committed to providing you with reliable warranty support. Please read this Warranty Information carefully before using our products.
1. COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY COVERAGE
We proudly offer comprehensive warranty coverage for our equipment, ensuring your investment is protected both in Australia and internationally.
1.1 Standard Warranty
- Equipment Warranty: 3 years from the date of delivery.
- Consumables Warranty: 3 months for torches, cables, earth clamps, straps, and handles.
1.2 Extended Warranty (Australia Only)
Extend your equipment warranty to 5 years by registering your product within 30 days of delivery. Please note: Accessories and consumables are not covered under the extended warranty.
2. HOW TO REGISTER FOR EXTENDED WARRANTY
To activate the extended warranty:
- Visit the Product Service & Support section of our website.
- Locate your product and, if eligible, follow the link provided there to register.
- Complete the form with your product and purchase details within 30 days of delivery.
3. WARRANTY CLAIMS AND SERVICE
Fast Service: We aim to repair or replace any covered product within 1–5 business days of receiving it.
Return Shipping (All Customers): Customers are responsible for the cost of returning items to Specialised Welding Systems for warranty assessment. Before returning any item, please contact us through the Product Service & Support section of our website or by emailing support@swswelding.com.au to confirm the process. We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method. Alternatively, we can arrange a prepaid return shipping label and invoice the customer for the cost of the label.
Return Shipping (Approved Claims): If your claim is approved, we will cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replacement item back to you.

4. INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
Our international warranty coverage includes the same 3-year equipment warranty and 3-month consumables warranty. Extended warranty is not available for international customers.
- Before returning any item, please contact us through the Product Service & Support section of our website to make a claim and confirm the process.
- International customers are responsible for all postage costs, including shipping the item to us and return shipping from us, for warranty claims.
- We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method.
5. COVERAGE AND EXCLUSIONS
What’s Covered:
- Faulty materials and workmanship.
- Labour and parts required for repair or replacement during the warranty period.
What’s Not Covered:
- Normal wear and tear.
- Misuse or abuse.
- Damage caused by water, corrosion, overvoltage, heat, or modification.
- Unauthorised repairs.
- Tampered or removed serial numbers.
- Tampered with or modified input power cables or plugs.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Specialised Welding Systems and its officers, directors, and employees shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, or indirect losses or damages arising from the use or inability to use any product, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of use, or any other economic loss, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) in Australia or the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 in New Zealand, or any other applicable consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded by agreement.
7. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure occurs that is not a major failure, we may choose to repair or replace the goods or provide a refund at our discretion. Goods returned for repair may be replaced with refurbished items of the same type rather than being repaired. Refurbished parts may be used to repair goods, consistent with your rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

9. GOVERNING LAW
