This Warranty Information outlines the manufacturer's warranty provided by Specialised Welding Systems (SWS) for products purchased from swswelding.com.au. It details coverage periods, claim procedures, and exclusions. This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Warranty Coverage
Standard Warranty
- Welding Equipment: 3 years from the date of purchase (invoice date).
- Accessories and Consumables: 3 months from the date of purchase (invoice date).
Extended Warranty (Australia Only)
Eligible welding equipment may qualify for an extended warranty of up to 5 years. To activate the extended warranty, the product must be registered on our website within 30 days of delivery.
Extended warranty coverage applies to the power source only. Accessories and consumables are excluded.

Warranty Claims and Service
All warranty claims must be assessed by SWS before approval. Please contact us before returning any item.

Return Shipping to SWS
Customers are responsible for securely packaging and returning products using a trackable shipping method. SWS can arrange a return shipping label on request, with the cost invoiced to the customer.
Approved Warranty Claims
SWS will cover return shipping costs for repaired or replaced items. Repair timeframes vary based on the nature of the fault, parts availability, and workload. We aim to complete repairs promptly after receiving and assessing the product.
International Customers
International customers receive the same standard warranty coverage:
- 3-year warranty on welding equipment
- 3-month warranty on accessories and consumables
Extended warranty registration is not available outside Australia. International customers are responsible for all shipping costs associated with warranty claims, including any applicable import or export requirements.
Coverage and Exclusions
This Warranty Covers
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
- Labour and replacement parts for approved faults during the warranty period
This Warranty Does Not Cover
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage from misuse, neglect, or incorrect installation or operation
- Damage from water ingress, corrosion, overvoltage, excessive heat, or use outside specified environmental conditions
- Unauthorised repairs or modifications
- Products with tampered, altered, or removed serial numbers
- Modified input power cables or plugs
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
For non-major failures, you are entitled to repair or replacement. SWS may choose to repair, replace, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Goods may be repaired using refurbished parts or replaced with refurbished goods where permitted.
Product Registration
Product registration is optional but recommended. Registration assists with warranty verification, extended warranty eligibility (where applicable), and product support.
