Refund policy
This Refund Policy outlines how returns and refunds are handled by Specialised Welding Systems (SWS).
Change of Mind Returns
SWS offers change of mind returns on eligible products within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below.
Eligibility:
- The item must be returned within 30 days of delivery
- The item must be in as-new condition and in full working order
- All original packaging, accessories, and included items must be returned
- The product must not have been modified or damaged
Minor handling marks may be acceptable at SWS’s discretion. Excessive wear, damage, or missing components may result in refusal of the return or a deduction from the refund.
Exclusions:
- Consumables and wear items
- Custom-assembled or made-to-order products
- Digital products or software
Return Process
To request a return, please contact SWS before sending any items back.

Return shipping:
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for change of mind returns. Items must be securely packaged and returned using a trackable shipping service. SWS is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.
Once received, returned items will be inspected to confirm they meet the return criteria.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout.
- Refunds are processed after inspection and approval
- Please allow up to 5–10 business days for funds to appear, depending on your payment provider
Any deductions for damage, missing items, or non-compliance with return conditions will be communicated before the refund is finalised.
Faulty or Incorrect Items
If an item arrives faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact SWS as soon as practicable. Where a fault is confirmed, SWS will arrange repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
In these cases, SWS will cover reasonable return shipping costs.
Warranty Returns
Warranty claims are handled separately under the SWS Warranty Policy. Warranty terms may differ from this Refund Policy. Please refer to the Warranty page for full details.
International Returns
International orders may be returned within 30 days of delivery, subject to the same eligibility criteria.
- All international return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
- Any duties, taxes, or customs charges are non-refundable
- Returned items should be clearly marked as “Returned Goods” to avoid additional import charges
Refund processing may take longer for international returns due to transit and customs clearance times.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced. SWS may choose the appropriate remedy in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
